History

The company Veba is specialised in production of cooling boxes and established in 1988 in Uden The Netherlands. These cooling boxes were used in a higher level of the market, such as medical and laboratorial sectors. Around the year 2000 there were produced over 2500 cooling boxes yearly. Around 1997 Veba developped a large cooling box, running on 12V which could replace a complete traditional cooled van. From 1997 to 2007 Veba have built around 400 of these large boxes and sold in the medical and laboratorial (lab) field. In 2007 Veba decided to conquer the traditional cooled van market with this large cooling box and named it: VebaBox. Medio 2010 Veba have conquer more then 40% of the market for traditional cooled vans in The Netherlands and is building up business units all over Europe. Peter van den Hoogen, general director of Veba has a vision to grow further in The Netherlands to 100% market share in the coming 3 years and replace the total European market within 5 to maximum 10 years to the VebaBox. "The in 2010 developped JUMBO VebaBox of 6 to 10m3, will help us to replace the total range of cooled vans untill 3500Kg to the VebaBox" says Peter van den Hoogen.
